Day Residence, Walnut Creek

The Day Residence, Walnut Creek Landscape renovation plans were prepared for this private residence for clients who practiced sustainability in their everyday lives. With respect to their home’s landscape, they wanted to replace and minimize high water use lawn areas with low water use, drought tolerant plants. Similarly, a high water use conventional overhead spray irrigation system was replaced with a low water use a drip irrigation system. The new landscape featured naturally, curving bands of colorful shrubs and ground covers. For each color band of plants, multiple choices of plants were provided, including red, pink, yellow, blue, orange, purple/lavender, and white. The result was a spectacular display of colors from spring through summer. The landscape renovation was completed in 2017.
